There are just 100 days left in 2015! That means, if you haven’t already, it’s time to put together your final 100-Day Plan of the year — it will set you up to have your best year in 2016. Starting the year with momentum is the very best way to exceed your goals!

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve covered what you need to know about who to develop relationships with in business {Part 1 and Part 2} so there’s no guess-work on your part.

You might be wondering, once you’ve qualified someone as a viable prospective client or strategic partner, how long should you stay in touch with them? It’s a question I hear a lot — especially because some people are less responsive than others (and silence can be construed as dislike or disinterest).

When you have determined you could be of service to someone, or their contacts, you must stay in contact with them until one of four things happen:

You see, it can take a minute … or a decade … for someone to be ready to hire or buy from you — or they might not come upon the right opportunity for you for quite some time. But if you don’t follow-up until, you are 100% likely to miss any opportunity that might come to you by giving up too soon.
